It is necessary that I bring this word to you today for the important understanding that we must have as we find ourselves much closer to great trouble in this world we now live.

I ask you this question- can keeping the law (of Moses) save any of mankind (you and me) from the calamity of destruction that is near, great upheaval, hardship and fear on earth?

I ask you this question- do you not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked? Rev 3:17

What can I do to be a blessing and not be found as a curse?

God loves us more than we know and does want to bless us with life eternal – a life with Him and His Son Jesus that will transcend the physical life we now experience. However, our Father leaves the choice to us. He has given us the Word of God that we can understand, if we choose to. But He leaves the final choice to each of us individually.

Man can look in any direction and see a marvelous creation. Science has shown us both the massive distances between stars and galaxies and have even looked at and studied the components of the atom, a building block of the physical complexity all around us. Even with this before us many do not believe that there is authority, power and design that brought this about. That by happenstance this marvelous form manifested itself void of our Creator God. Be that as it may the time for thinking this way is about to change. This curse in thinking this way will be gone. All will come to know without doubt that light will bring forth truth that no one shall error as to how this was brought about.

I use the word cursed because God did not bring this curse about, but man through the influence of Satan is its origin. It is impossible to appreciate God’s creation and His love for man if we continue to live under a curse. The ONLY way to remove this curse is to repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. In part, why I love God is to see and appreciate His creation – me included – and His eternal plan for each of us. If we read the first chapter of Genesis we see what was done so that we could have life. Could we live if God had not first made a place and a habitat for us – namely earth? Just the right distance from the sun, clean water to drink, air to breath, seeds to grow our crops, ground to put our seeds into? Then He said, “Let us make them in Our image,” in the image of our Creator. Why would He do this, I ask?

Because He wants a family relationship with us! Ask yourself what brings man the greatest joy? For me it is my family that brings me joy above others things. God has made it that way for us as well. We have His spiritual DNA. God gave us love as well – He tells is that He is love. I John 4: 8 & 16

We also know that God is perfect in all His ways.

“Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Mat 5: 48

“But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. ” Colossians 3:14

I have simply laid the ground work and the foundation for what I am now going to bring to you. I find the word curse a very unusual word in our language. It is not a word we hear used often in conversation. That is why I bring it to you today, so you remember!!!

“Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”

Where do we find these words and who is being talked about?

Galatians 3:13 is where we find these words.
This scripture is talking about Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.

I can also make the following statement as well because I know it to be true.

“Cursed is everyone who does not believe on the One they hanged on that tree”

There is no other name or any other thing in the entire universe that can take the curse of death away from mankind except Christ Jesus.

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! “See! Your house is left to you desolate; “for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” Matthew 23:37-39

“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18

“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3

We can see by revelation the power and the wisdom of God found in a scripture in the book of Revelation 13:8 where it states that the Lamb of God, (Jesus the Christ) was slain from the foundation of the world. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. I Corinthians 1:18

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.  Matthew 16:24

Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’? Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it. And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.”  Matthew 21:42-44

For it is written:

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the
Understanding of the prudent.

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.” I Corinthians 1:20-21

“And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”  I Corinthians 2:1-5

Where I ask you is man’s power? Can you or can I, even change anything truly? Can I add one inch to my height or one day to the length of my life? We can not keep the law. Does circumcision save the Jew? Does not being circumcised somehow save the gentile? Was not Abraham, Joseph, David and Samuel all subject to the things that befall all men even death?

Paul states in Philippians 3:4 -9 “If anyone thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so: Circumcised the eighth day, Of the stock of Israel, Of the tribe of Benjamin, A Hebrew of the Hebrews, Concerning the law, a Pharisee With great zeal Concerning righteousness in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, these I have counted as loss for Christ. But indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.”

Yes God is perfect in all His ways and He will not compromise with sin. Sin is the transgression of God’s law.

Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. I John 3:4

We do not understand how God knew in advance of creating man that he would sin but obviously He knew. God our loving Father made a way out of sin and subsequent death for all who committed sin. From the very beginning of God’s plan for mankind a way out of sin was established. We were born into sin, and all who sin are subject to death. Even Jeremiah said, quote: “Cursed be the day in which I was born!”  Jeremiah 20:14

Was this plan put in place or was it a part of God’s plan before or after the dinosaurs? Does it matter to us if it was or wasn’t? I think not. The important part is that God knew that His Son Jesus would be required to be a Sacrifice for our sins at some point in time. It is beyond our ability to understand the power and wisdom of our Father God Most High. However we can read many scriptures that give us pause to consider how God has made a way so that He did not have to compromise with sin, yet have sin dealt with.

“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” I John 3:9

“And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” I John 3:3

Jesus is our soon coming King and is worthy because He gave His very life and allowed His blood to be shed that our sins could be atoned for or covered over.

“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

“For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Matthew 26:28

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

“He is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn over all creation.” Colossians 1:13-15

“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.” Colossians 2:8-12

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”  I Peter 5:6-9

“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” I John 5:12

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” Matthew 25:31-34

I ask you now a most important question, are we asleep as the goats, cursed of this world or are we striving as awakened sheep blessed of God?

The hour is soon to be upon us.

The choice is ours to make – make ready!!!
