Consider the Visitation

By Greg Turner
greg@sharingtheway.com

Have you considered the following: “For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man”? Seems obvious or is it? Have you ever considered the following: “Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.” (Joel 2:23-24)? Peter referenced Joel 2:28 in his first “sermon” showing that what had happened to him and others on that day of Pentecost in 30AD as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Notice that these rains were to occur twice – the “former” rains and the “latter” rains.

The former rains are spoken of in past tense, whereas, the latter rains are future tense and greater than the former and latter (spring and fall rains of Israel) put together. In other words there will be another pouring out of the Holy Spirit like the one that occurred on Pentecost 30AD, but will be much larger. One could say it will be seen like lightning is from the east to the west. It will be very bright and seen by all – that is the works of the Spirit. When will this occur? A peculiar word was added to the KJV and NKJV bibles at the end of verse 23 – “month”. God would not have added it if it were not important. Other translations like the NIV leave it out. Yet, Hosea adds a piece to the puzzle. Hosea says “After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth” (Hosea 6:2-3). So Joel says that this will happen in the first month and Hosea says it will happen after two days – on the third day. Peter 2:3-8 says “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day”. So putting these together we can see that after two thousand years the latter rains are going to come in the first month or beginning as other translations show.

Now these things all happened once before – the former rains! The church system of that time, being run by the scribes and pharisaical priesthood completely missed it. The Messiah that they WERE looking for came and they missed Him – killing Him like so many other prophets before Him. They missed the WHOLE pouring out of the Spirit and they killed the apostles and all who followed them or scattered them to the winds.

The question for us today is will the churches miss him again? They are all looking for “the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matt. 24:30). Guess what. It is all over when that occurs. That is a later event. These events have many things occurring between the “lightning” event and the “Son of man coming” event. John was the last apostle to die around 95AD and at that point we see the “the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky” (Matt. 24:29). This is talking about the body of Christ as is clearly stated in Rev 12:1. The great light of the former rains was darkened and so too will it happen again where the coming is like “lightning” – very short and bright – and then the church will be put down again. After this then the shakings will happen (or in parallel) which are the 7 trumpets and then Christ will come in glory at the 7th trump (I Cor. 15:52; Rev. 10:7, 11:15). Notice “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets”. When the 7th angel sounds it is “finished”. Many other things will happen on earth after that as shown in Revelation, but those who are going to be with Christ are finished at that point and will meet Him in the clouds (I Thess. 4:17; Matt. 24:28,31).

Don’t believe these things? Neither did the Jews when Christ appeared unto them in 26-30AD and they missed Him. The time of visitation is now (Is. 10:3; Jer. 8:12, 10:15, 11:23; Hos. 9:7; Luke 19:44; I Peter 2:12) for the 6000 years allotted to man’s rule of the earth is over. Christ will come as a thief in the night (I Thess. 5:1-5) to judge His people then He shall come to judge the rest of the earth at the 7th trump. His people hear His voice (John 10:16). Will you see Him and hear Him during the visitation or later when He appears?

Off a Cliff

Greetings, I shared this testimonial at bible study on Wednesday a week ago, but many of you have not heard this testimonial as yet. I felt led to share this with each of you. May it strengthen your faith as it did mine.
My direct boss above me at PLM company went on vacation a couple weeks ago. During this week he was gone I received a very heavy heart for him where I knew his life was in danger, I mean to the point of death, a very grave spirit that I had never experienced before. All I knew to do was pray for Mark and told the Lord that I did not want his job. I would be in line for it if he were gone. When he returned to work I walked up to him and his first words were, I see you influenced Joel, one of the other workers at PLM. He said for the first time, because Joel had just put a sign in his back window of his jeep that read “Jesus Saves”.
I said to Mark no, I do not believe I had anything to do with the new sign because Joel was a Christian before he came to work at PLM. Mark said oh, well, I have somthing else to share with you. My wife and I on our vacation were traveling over Rabbit Ears Pass on our way to Steamboat Srings, CO when our car hit a patch of ice and began to spin out of control. He said that they spun out of control for about 2000 feet and then went off the roadway on the down hill side where there was a nearly 2000 foot drop off. They first grabbed each others hand as the left the road, they had no time to talk to each other but did a moment look at each other. Mark said he thought it was all over. They first went down a steep 30 foot drop and then over another 10 foot drop, Mark thought that this 10 foot drop, was the final plug to the bottom. However, for about a 100 feet right where they were, was another small shelf that they managed to land on and stay on with the way the small trees turned their car just so. Their car was totaled. Neither of them were harmed at all, not even a small scratch. When I told him what I had experienced, he was speechless. The following day he walked up to me and layed his hand on my shoulder and said, how are you. He had never showed me that kind of affection ever before. I think he now knows that, “Jesus Saves.”
Thank you God, In His service,

Jerry

My Last $100

I sent this message to friends that sent me a box with cookies and money because they were moved by the Lord to do so. I did not ask them for any of it.

Hi All,
I got your box today. Wow! The Lord is truly awesome. Thank you so much for this and doing what the Lord tells you to do.
I gotta tell you what happened and why this is even more awesome than you know.
Two days ago I was rather discouraged and so I went for drive. That made me even more discouraged because I drove by a park and saw all the little kids playing and it was such a nice day out – like 81 degrees. I just wanted to be in the park playing with my son sooooo bad. As I was driving home the Lord told me to get $100 and give it to the elderly lady that I am staying with. I was angry and choose not to believe that it was the Lord. The next night (Monday) the lady told me that she was out of money and that she was going to have to go get food stamps! Of course I felt like an ass at that moment knowing what the Lord told me to do the day before when I was sulking about my son. So today as soon as I got up I went to the bank and got the money and brought it home and gave it to her. She was shocked and amazed all at once. I felt the Spirit surge thru me and got chill bumps all over my body. That was strange as it never happened before when I did something like this. Still not sure why that happened. Anyway, realize that that was my last hundred dollars and I just said well it’s all on you Lord. I have no money and almost no food. About four hours later as I was reading my bible on my computer the door bell rang. And what do you know it is the box you sent plus the $100 plus $50 on top of that. Unbelievable – although it should be! Yet, I never want to get over being exited about the things the Lord does. I love having a relationship with the true God and creator of all things. I bet you had no idea how much what you did was a part of what He is doing. The complexity is amazing! What is even more awesome is that the lady here answered the door to recieve the package and gave it to me. I then opened it and found the letter with the money. I showed it to her and thanked God for returning to me the money I gave her plus interest. Her eyes got really big – as big as saucers! She KNOWS that it was from God and that there was no other way. I can tell it really has her thinking now.

Thanks again so much for following the Lord and doing what He tells you to do!
Love you guys and God be with you!

Are You Accepting Your Father’s Love?

By Sonia in Texas

Standing has been the hardest journey that I have had to walk through. Each individual has their own unique situations that occur to fulfill God’s purpose.

“But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” Exodus 9:16

In God’s grace and mercy, His revelations are sometimes in the smallest of things to show us that He is with us. “No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Joshua 1:5

He also shows us these things so that we can comfort others when they are struggling too. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

I pray that my little revelation will help you see how great our God is.

Today as I was writing an essay at my desk, my prodigal’s dog begged to sit on my lap. As I was picking him up, I told him with excitement, “I love you! I love you!” Then I began to cry.

It hit me at that moment how much I wanted to hear the words “I love you” from my beloved spouse and my daughters. The pain reminded me of how much I wanted to tell them how I felt, but their continued rejection had silenced me.

How sad that this dog is the only one in my home right now who is hearing these words from my mouth. I cried out with pain to God and now understood why He was always telling me He loves me.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Had I focused only on wanting to hear the words “I love you” from my husband and my children so much that I took my Father’s love for granted? He knew that I longed to hear the words “I love you”, and was giving me what I needed. I was always used to having my husband tell me everyday how much he loved me and to now be in a situation where I no longer hear those words, makes my heart ache still. But God stepped in and was filling that need and I thank Him for loving me so much.

“The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving- kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3

It took this minor event to open my eyes to see how much I was missing out on. No matter what words my daughters were throwing out, I needed to tell them I love them. They needed to hear it too, as I needed to hear it from my Father. If I needed that affection from my Father, how much more did they need to hear it from me since their father is not at home with them right now?

Please don’t let another minute pass you by without expressing your love to your loved ones. Even if the fear of rejection overwhelms you, we are to show our love.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7

You may not be able to tell your prodigal spouse you love them at this moment, but keep that love for them in your heart. Let it flow by praying for them. Let that love grow, like a burning fire inside of you.

“Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.” Song of Solomon 8:6

Most importantly, let us not take our Lord’s love for us for granted. Let His love surround you and praise Him, because He is so worthy to be praised. Show Him and tell Him every day that you love Him.

“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5

God has loved us from the beginning. He chose us to stand in the gap for our loved one’s salvation, our marriages and for our prodigal children. These relationships may seem hopeless or dead in the natural, but our God will bring them back to life for His glory.

“When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” John 11:4

Loving Him,

Can we prove that God exists?

By Greg Turner
greg@sharingtheway.com
The answer is given to us in scripture and is one of the main tenants of Christianity. The surprising answer is NO! Why? Are there not many scriptures that ‘show’ God talking to any number of people in the bible? Yes! So why the seeming conflict? It all revolves around the design that God set up for people to be called (Rom. 8:28-30, 9:24) into the ‘faith’. Notice the word ‘faith’ is what we are called into. The word faith is used in the New Testament around 230 times depending on the translation. The Word of God defines faith as believing in things not seen:

Hebrews 11:1-3 ( NIV ) 1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.  2This is what the ancients were commended for. 3By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

From a different translation:

Hebrews 11:1-3 ( NKJV ) 1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  2For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

We cannot find God by wandering from one religion to another or by reading every doctrine (like evolution, big bang, Protestantism, Catholicism, Islamism, etc.) that man has written. We think that when we are unsettled, or having a mid-life crisis, or some other crisis that we then decide for ourselves that we need to find God. This is a deception! A deception that means only one thing – that we are serving ourselves and that we think we can solve all by momentarily putting God into our lives until the crisis is past. Guess what? God will actually hide from us for “I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early” (Hos. 5:15). He wants a real relationship with us not one where we only look for Him in crisis. On the contrary – if God comes into our minds it means that he is calling us! We naturally will not think of God. It is not in our nature “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God” (Romans 8:7-8 NKJV). If God is coming into our mind then he is calling us just as Jesus called the original disciples (see Matt. 4:18, 21). He is calling sinners “… for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Matthew 9:13 KJV) and He is calling many “… for many be called, but few chosen” (Matthew 20:16 KJV). What does it mean to be chosen? A chosen person is one that God puts his Spirit in. Jesus was the first (of the new covenant) for “Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him” (Matthew 12:18 ( KJV ).

Here is the number one piece of confusion today. Many people go to church, are routinely baptized, and then spend the remaining days of their lives thinking that they have made it into the kingdom of God and go about doing their own thing. They still serve themselves! It was a feel good moment to put God into their lives momentarily. This is important – they have been called! But do they have the Spirit of God in them? Jesus said absolutely not! Here it is:

Matthew 22:1-14 ( KJV ) 1And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,  2The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,  3And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.  4Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.  5But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:  6And the remnant[churches] took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found[many are baptized], both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment[Holy Spirit]: 12And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14For many are called, but few are chosen.

Now originally Jesus was talking about the Jews. He actually spoke to them directly! Yet, they rejected him and went about their own business. But do we think this scripture does not apply today? Are the churches today any different than the synagogues of Jesus’ time? The Jews were the called of God – his people that were ‘bidden’. Jesus bid them himself – in the flesh! But they were not worthy and God sent in the Roman army to destroy them in 70AD including their temple and all their synagogues. By about 300AD there were no synagogues left in the Roman Empire! All their churches were completely destroyed! Do we really think it is any different today? Are today’s churches any different than those synagogues? Jesus said “Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?  For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.  But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;  And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.  Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.  But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:3-9 KJV).

And notice what Paul says:

Colossians 2:20-23 ( KJV ) 20Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ[buried in baptism] from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,  21(Touch not; taste not; handle not;  22Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?  23Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

The churches create all kinds of doctrines and things to put on people to get them to go to their church and make them feel holy. They seem good but are not of God. And also,

Hebrews 13:9 ( KJV ) 9Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace[unmerited forgiveness]; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

In these verses we see the leaders (Pharisees) of the church of that day attack Jesus and his disciples for not following the rules that they had made up in their synagogues (their churches). These verses show us clearly that men ought to follow God not man-made institutions and doctrines. Where did God command that men should make synagogues and follow after self appointed men? This is not to say that all churches are bad or that all ministers are bad. Yet, beware of their doctrines and traditions that they use to get men to follow them. God wants a relationship with you, not a church or a denomination or a man or a minister. Now in Matthew 22 we can see that the ‘king’ is God the Father, the ‘son’ is Jesus, and the ‘servants’ are those who do Christ’s bidding. Christ sends out the servants (Matt. 28:19) to spread the seed (Matt. 13), but it is the Father (king) that calls. For “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him” (John 6:44 KJV) and “without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV). We cannot please God by going to church and following after men. God calls us his sons and daughters for “what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:16-18 KJV).

He wants a relationship with us. He calls us his temple. We don’t need physical temples anymore! We are the temple and when his Holy Spirit is in us we become his sons and daughters! What father talks to his son or daughter thru someone else? It doesn’t happen. If our son or daughter wants to talk to us they do so directly – not thru someone else! We don’t need priests and ministers to talk to God nor to learn about God. He uses his servants to help lift the body to a point where they can stand on their own. That’s all. Jesus sends his servants from house to house (Matt. 10:12-15) to share (Matt. 10:27) those things he has given them to edify the body (I Cor. 12). That’s all. Never to rule over them!

For those that are trying to prove that God exists we see that “Truly, you are a God who hides yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior. All of them are put to shame and confounded; the makers of idols go in confusion together. But Israel is saved by the Lord with everlasting salvation; you shall not be put to shame or confounded to all eternity” (Isaiah 45:15-17 ESV).

All that try to prove that God exists will be ashamed for he is the God of the faithful! He says “I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right” (Isaiah 45:19 KJV).

God hides himself, but reveals himself thru his word, his Son and his Son’s servants. Israel is a word for God’s people, both yesterday and today. His people will reach salvation by faith and by believing in the unseen powers – God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God says “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified[sins forgiven], and shall glory” (Isaiah 45:22-25 KJV).

He does exist, but requires us to seek him in faith and when we do it will not be in vain. Jesus said “Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8 NKJV ). Also, “my sheep hear my voice” (John 10:27) and He says “Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people” (Jer. 7:23). You cannot prove that He exists, but once you believe in Him then He will come unto you and reveal Himself to you. Then you will see him everywhere and in everything! You cannot prove that he exists except by belief (Heb. 11:6), so seek God today with all your heart and he will come unto you (Jer. 29:13) and then you will know that He exists.

Freedom

By Dave Shobe

Lord,

I now realize that I can do absolutely nothing to gain Your approval. Thank You! Your Son, Christ Jesus did it for me. Thank You! I can do nothing to make myself holy. Thank You, Lord! It is out of my hands.

If I quit sinning, it is by the power of Your Holy Spirit alone. I am powerless to overcome these things of my own accord. I have received Your gift of Salvation by faith alone; by believing that Your Son whom You sent lived a pure and blameless life. He sacrificed Himself so that I would be set free from the law that condemns me. Thank You!

Lord, if I am sinning, and I am to quit sinning, take it from me. There is no struggle, He struggled for me. He set me FREE! Therefore I AM FREE!

Prophesy unto us Smooth Things

By Darren Smith.

As conditions around the world get worse it seems the sleeping
state of the modern church gets worse. As earthquakes become
more frequent and famine as well as oppression grows, we sleep.
As the prosperity message pollutes the world, we sleep. What
will it take to waken the church?

I want to give you some things to think about on our local level.
Houston is the capitol of the world for human trafficking, yeah
that’s right, Houston.  We get the stories on the local news but
never see them on a national level, in fact, they are not getting
as much attention even here as they were. Houston is also the
home of the largest abortion clinic in the United States, yet it is
also home to some of the biggest churches in the nation. Gang
violence is at epidemic levels as the Mexican drug cartels use
violence and fear to take over more and more neighborhoods. The
Border with Mexico is a war zone and is to the point where many
experts are saying the country is on the verge of a revolution, and
still we sleep. Most are content with living their comfortable life
and turning their thoughts away from the truth of what is really
happening. Our nation has never been in a worse state than it is
right now, and life as we know it is about to change forever as
judgment falls, and still we sleep.

Why can’t we look at the signs around us and see where we really
are? Because we don’t want to know the truth, it’s too hard. We
want to hear only the smooth things as the Bible says in Isa 30:
10-11. The modern church says unto the seer “do not see” and to
the prophet “prophesy unto us smooth things.” We are in a state
of denial so deep I’m afraid it is too late for most to see the
destruction that awaits.  When a prophet gives truth he is rejected
and scorned, yet the false prophets, or should I say profits, are
held in high esteem.  In all this, the Gospel has been lost, or
should I say, stolen.  The enemy has done a great job in stealing
and hiding the truth and he has done it by promoting a false gospel
of prosperity. No matter what denomination you name, the
humanistic gospel of Self has crept its way in and rocked the
people to sleep. The mandate to take the Gospel, which is the
power of God, to the nations has been lost to the gospel of comfort
and self promotion.

This has happened in every form of the modern church, from the
preaching, to the music. The message of the Cross is no longer
found in sermons or songs. The blood has been overtaken by
smooth words and songs designed to make us feel better about
ourselves.  A couple of days ago, while traveling in East TX, I saw
a billboard for a church that said life is hard, church shouldn’t be.
I thought to myself, nothing could be farther from the truth. Truly
being the church is the hardest thing you will ever do in your life.
We are called to be the church, not attend a social meeting
designed to make us feel better. Being the Church requires self
sacrifice and commitment to the cross. It requires you to live the
Gospel everyday, not just on Sunday.  It is for this very reason
our cities as well as our whole nation are asleep and out of the
will of God, yet we still believe that we are Gods’ chosen land.
How much longer can we sleep? I believe just as long as we have
smooth lullaby’s in sermon and song to sooth us in our slumber.

I refuse to let the sleeping dog lie in this state. I will not prophesy
the smooth things and I refuse not to say what I see coming. For
this reason, I don’t get to preach in many churches, but that
doesn’t really matter, neither did the prophets. The message of
God cannot be stopped by man or man’s organizations and God
is raising an army of fearless preachers out here that has nothing
to lose by preaching the truth, because it’s all we have. We have
already forsaken the world for the Cross. You may not want to
hear what we have to say, but you cannot stop the truth. If you
are one in this army, set your face like flint and march forward,
don’t retreat, there is nothing to return to. Don’t faint, let the Lord
be your strength for you will face persecution even from those
close to you, but you will see victory. This is a time of war not
peace, a time for the extreme and the radical, a time for
revolutionaries. Don’t walk in fear, march forward in faith.

I haven’t sent out anything in a while, I have been struggling with
an illness in my liver and have had to take some time to be still
and quiet, but now am at a point to let it go. Please pray for God
to heal me and give me strength to march on in this battle. I’m
setting dates to speak now for mid April and May – if anyone would
like me to come please contact us.

Do you trust in God (Part 2)?

Suffering, Trials, Tribulations, and Persecutions
By Greg Turner
greg@sharingtheway.com

Suffering is a required part of our Christian walk. It is not clear why some churches preach that people will have great health and wealth by becoming a believer in Christ. Jesus says:

Matthew 5:10-12 (KJV) 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Dream of The Sad Preacher

Sharing The Way Moderator: The following is from the revivalschool.com distribution and the Lord told me to post it here because apparently people still think that they can have a relationship with God through their church system. How can this be? Does a child have a relationship with their parent through a third party? This system is going to come to an end just as the first century temple system of the Jews was destroyed in 70AD and then, after that, every synagogue in the Roman empire was systematically destroyed over a period of time. This dream shows why the church system must come to an end. This is going to happen again today, during our time, so that each person will have to stand on their own. God wants us to either learn to have a relationship with Him or He will let us die in the wilderness just as He did with the Israelites that came out of Egypt!

DREAM of THE SAD PREACHER – Unusual!
-by ‘Bubsie’ – South Africa – 18th Feb 2010.

[Bubsie] dreamt or had an open vision that she was in her bedroom when she heard the voice of God call her and ask her to wake up. … He asked her to go to a church as there was a man there that needed her help. No directions were given but as she drove in her car she seemed to know where to go and she arrived at a very large church building: it was magnificently constructed and was a dome-shaped hexagonal building that stretched for a great distance: there were smaller dome-shaped buildings that were in the back-ground: she approached the gates without hesitation and entered a massive parking lot: there were a few cars but very little movement and no people.

As she entered the building she saw the church and many corridors with many offices leading off them and a few people walking around who appeared busy with administration work: they didn’t talk or acknowledge her or each other and appeared emotionless with very little movement as they walked as well: She continued to walk a distance before she saw the door to the administrative block : it was closed. She opened it and entered and saw an office, the door was open and as she entered she saw a man behind a huge desk made of cherry wood: he appeared to be the minister: he was very well groomed, not Indian, White or Black, more Middle Eastern looking: he was very well attired in a smart suit and he had expensive rings on each finger including the thumbs and a watch and chain on each hand respectively: on the right hand wall of the office she saw a display of knives: they were Eastern, looked Chinese/Japanese. On the desk itself she saw on the right hand side stacks of playing cards: they were jumbo-sized, next to them were credit cards also jumbo-sized and different brands of credit cards, some known to her like Mastercard and Visa, and some unknown: there was more than one pile of playing cards and credit cards and they were piled on the table. To the left on the table she saw comic books: like Superman, Batman and Spiderman: they were also in stacks and piled : In the middle of the desk she saw a huge appointment book: To the right of the desk on the floor she saw crates filled with bottled mineral water.

The minister indicated to her to be seated and proceeded to tell her about how busy he was, showing her his appointment book with filled calender booking him for speaking engagements and explaining to her how much he had acquired in terms of book and tape ministry: he spoke with an arrogant, boastful tone, and used his hands to gesticulate to indicate how much wealth was in his possession: his right hand kept touching the credit cards and playing cards as he spoke and his left hand kept touching the comics as he spoke. He then asked her what she was doing there and she told him, God sent me because you need my help: He then began to boastfully say how no help was needed : she then looked to the left of the office and in the corner stood a statue of Christ: almost like how a painting of Christ is depicted but in statue form: she felt rather than stone or marble this resembled more a life-like statue like you get in Madame Tussard’s. As she continued to look at the statue while the man continued to expound on why no help was needed, she had a sense that there was life in the statue – especially in the eyes looking at her.

At this point she got up and walked out of the office and began walking to her car: as she reached the outside of the building, she heard the voice of God again, talking to her in a tongue, saying to her, I asked you to come here because this man needs your help. As she protested that the man had stated that he didn’t need her help, she heard again the voice of God speaking to her in a tongue telling her to go back and help the man. She made her way back to the office and as she entered to sit down, the man said to her, What are you doing here, I told you I don’t need your help: as he spoke to her he was lifting his right hand and sweeping it across as if to say, see what I have: this was when she noticed that his left arm was missing: it had been cleanly severed at the shoulder joint between the bone and the sleeve of the jacket and shirt had been neatly severed as well: she noticed that it has been surgically removed because of the cleanness of the cut and that the scar was completely healed: she then looked at the statue and at the feet, she saw the man’s left arm: it was still covered in the suit and shirt and in the hand of the severed left arm was clutched a knife.

The man then started to ask her what she was doing there and as she said, God told me that you need my help, he stopped her and said, I don’t need your help: I can use my right hand to do whatever I want and a few people entered the room and one of them handed him a bottle of mineral water which he lifted with his right hand to his mouth to drink, demonstrating to her that her help was not needed. He then said, I have 2300 (not sure of the exact number he mentioned but it was around this number) of people who work for me who can get me what I want: I don’t need your help.

At this point, Bubsie got up and left the room and the building: as she was driving away in her car, again the voice of God remonstrated with her in a tongue that He had told her to come here to help the man and asked her to turn the car back, which she did. This time when she reached the office, she saw immediately that the right hand was missing and as she looked at the feet of the statue, there was the right hand clutching the cards in the hand. The man began to say confidently that she was not needed as he still had his legs and he could walk to get to what he needed.

She left the office again and this time she reached the carpark when the voice of God again in a tongue told her to go back to help the man. When she got to the office, she immediately looked at the statue and at the feet lay the left leg of the man, with the shoe and sock taken off: again the neat severing, the surgical healed scar: no jagged edges, no blood: she was not shocked or even upset, merely observant, and each time she entered the office she sat in the chair opposite the man and looked at him and said, God told me to come here as there is a man here that needs my help: The man said to her I don’t need your help, see,I can still stand on one leg. He was not as confident and arrogant and she sensed an uncertainty and anxiety in him but she got up and left.

She made it to the door of the building before the voice of God spoke again telling her, I told you to come here : this man needs your help. She turned back and when she got to the office, she didn’t see him and she thought, oh good, he’s gone. And then as she looked at the statue, the eyes of the statue were looking down to where the man’s chair was, directing her attention to the chair: she went around the desk and saw the man slumped in the chair: the right leg had been neatly severed. At this point the people that had offered him water from before came into the room and lifted the man in the chair and strapped him into the chair with what looked like a seat-belt: the man asked her, What are you doing here? and she said, God told me to come here, you need my help.

The man looked at her without arms and without legs and he said, I still have my intellect and my connections and I can be carried around by my people to where I need to go so I don’t need your help. She noticed though that there was no longer confidence and some degree of fear in him as he spoke. She got up and left the office and reached the end of the administration building when the voice of God spoke to her again and said, Come now, I told you to come here because the man needs your help.

As she turned around to make her way back to the office, she realized for the very first time she actually wanted to go in to help the man. Until now she was more obedient than willing. She also noticed that every time she had come back the daylight slowly faded indicating the passing of time and now it was almost dusk.

As she neared the door, the voice of God told her, I want you to be prepared for what you are going to see before you go in. As she entered the office, again she did not see the man and she immediately walked around the large desk to the chair: the man had been decapitated: again a neat surgical scar which had healed: she did not feel any horror as she looked at this scene:

She then saw the statue come alive and Jesus walked to her and said, I want you to carry him and revive his heart:… She swept with one hand all the stuff off the table and laid the torso on the table, wondering how it was she was supposed to revive the man’s heart: She opened the shirt and then looked towards the knives on the wall as if to see whether she should use a knife to get to the heart and Jesus said to her, No, just touch him. As she touched the chest, the entire sternum split in half: this time it was a fresh cut and she saw the blood line at the point of severing and the two parts of the chest lifted up: both her and Jesus peered in at the same time into the chest cavity: as Bubsie looked where the heart should be, she saw *a stone*:

Jesus did not look surprised by what He saw, but Babsie was: it was not in the shape of a heart, rather it was just a stone that you see at the side of the road: and as she thought, Now what am supposed to do, am I supposed to revive the stone? She felt the hand of Jesus touch her outstretched hand moving it away: and He said, *No, don’t touch it, It’s too late.* And she woke up.

When she woke up she asked the Father what she saw: She felt that *the knives* represented the church’s dependence on its own weaponry and other sources instead of the the Sword of truth, *the comics* with fantasy superheroes its powerless ineffective ego-founded demonstration of signs and wonders that have no real power, *the playing cards* and *credit cards* it’s gambling in the world of mammon with the prosperity gospel. The statue was the Spirit of Christ, paralysed and confined to an image for identity’s sake, more than anything, only allowed to come to life when the head was severed; the bottled mineral water, being its reliance on its own water supply, not the fresh living water that comes from the Father. The absence of genitalia she saw as its inability to be carriers of seed, or reproduce the life of God or bear fruit. The arrogance and refusal to acknowledge its plight until it was too late, despite the many times the Father had sent His prophets in to offer help, had both of us weeping.

The most chilling aspect was that Jesus as Advocate and Redeemer and Bridegroom was the one who said to the prophet ‘don’t touch it, it’s too late’ when the true heart of this system was revealed to be stone.

She had one question – Why did you send me there to help, when you knew it was too late? And she felt that the Father had sent His prophets time and time again – and with each Sword of Truth had exposed and severed first, the false sword (doctrine/deception) in the church system (the knife in the cut-off left hand), next to be exposed by the Sword of Truth was the prosperity gospel (cards in the cut-off right hand), next the lie of the false gospel being preached was exposed (the cut-off leg with the foot exposed), then the false leadership structure exposed (the head): all of these were done and sealed (healed scars) the fresh cut to expose the true heart required the prophetic witness and is the final aspect.

The Privilege of doing the Lord’s Work‏

Recently, my dear friend of 20 years who lives in Florida suffered a recurrence of cancer.  Last month, when I told my husband about her condition, he turned to me and said that we should send my friend and Lord’s servant, Eric Wheeler, to heal her.  (This was amazing in itself because my husband is not a believer, although the Lord is working through him in many ways.) I prayed and the Holy Spirit definitively told me “NO”, not Eric — I was to go!  I immediately responded with my earthly concerns about not having money for a plane flight (I live outside Denver) nor a rental car, and the Lord reminded me that my parents would sponsor my trip to Florida, since they stay there for the winter.  We would drive together to see my friend J.G., and I would have precious time to visit with my parents, too.

So, I planned my trip.  At bible study the night before I was to fly out, the Lord had us study the story of Jesus meeting the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4).  I was the Samaritan woman being sent back to tell those in the village about Jesus.  And many believed (John 4:39)!  So, it was revealed that I would minister to 4 people on my assignment by the Lord.  I knew about my friend with cancer, and I had also been told to visit my other friend, S.L.,to offer encouragement.  That was two.  I guessed my Mom was three – but who was the 4th?

I got to my friend J.G.s home and we spent several hours reading the bible together and praying. When I told her that the Lord had sent me to heal her, she said with a huge smile, “COOL!”  I simply prayed for his healing hand to be upon her.  She is a close friend of amazing faith.

Of course, I shared with my Mom why I had been sent to Florida.  She believed!  She and I shared wonderful conversations about the work that the Lord is doing in my life and in others.  It helped that she was reading Eric’s book, In His Service.  She was open to expanding her faith and belief outside the walls of our vanilla church upbringing.

My time with my other friend , S.L., was too short – only a couple hours.  I told her that God had sent me to tell her that He loves her and I asked her to come for a visit.  I was bursting with the Holy Spirit – to tell her the Good News and share scripture with her!  We just didn’t have the time.

Before flying back to Denver, I had dinner with my Mother-in-law.  She, too, had read In His Service but she was struggling with the concept that the Lord uses messengers among us to deliver his word.  We had a rather heated discussion about the bible and our beliefs.  At first, I was uncomfortable with the raised voices and depth of our disagreement (I had never had such a strong disagreement with her before – we get along very well).  Then, as we explored further, we realized that this sharing had brought us closer than ever before.  She told me that she was trying to keep an open mind and she loves the Lord!  That makes 4.
What a trip! It was such a privilege to be trusted by the Lord to carry out His work.  I pray regularly for another assignment, in His time.

P.S. – As of last week, my friend with cancer received news that the largest tumor is shrinking and the other tumors have stablized.  My friend completely believes she is healed and told her doctor so.  None of this is suprising – but so many were touched by this trip and by God’s greatness.
